Status:-

• Feasibility study of the project was completed in December 2015.
• Asian Development Bank has shown interest in Project Appraisal and Financing.
• WAPDA has requested Secretary Ministry of Water Resources on 13.09.2019 to approach EAD for arranging Project Readiness Financing upto US$ 8 million from ADB for Detailed Engineering Design of the project.
• Planning Commission advised WAPDA to re-submit the PC-II of Pattan HPP after rationalization of cost estimate and deletion of duplication of work and submit the Feasibility Stage tariff after Detailed Engineering Design along with submission of PC-I vide letter dated 13.10.2020.
• MoWR raised certain observations during the examination of Concept Clearance of Patan Hydropower Project and requested for Comprehensive future plan of developments of hydropower projects vide latter dated 06.11.2020. WAPDA has replied to observations of MoWR vide its letter dated 30.11.2020.
• Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives (PIP/ Foreign Aid Section) in response of Meeting-EAD held on 18.09. 2020 requested MoWR to furnish detail brief including updated status and details of funds required from donors for the Patan HPP vide letter dated 13.07.2021, Which was furnished on 16.08.2021.
