Status:-

• Feasibility study completed by M/s NESPAK in 1992-93.
• Detailed Engineering Design and Tender documents of Hingol Dam Project with Dam Site at Aghor, 1 km u/s of Makran Coastal Highway Bridge completed in 2009.
• Hindu Community raised objections due to submergence of their Holy Places. Hence, the site of the proposed dam was shifted 16 km upstream of Aghor Site.
• On the directions of MoWR, WAPDA submitted position paper regarding subject project for consideration in next DDWP meeting.
• DDWP meeting held on 10.08.2020 wherein subject project was approved.
• Contract Agreement has been signed with top ranked firm M/s BAK (JV) on 08.04.2022. Consultants mobilized on 13.05.2022.
• Site was visited by WAPDA team and project consultants in the last week of May 2022.
• Consultants have submitted Draft Inception Report of the project in June 2022.
• Survey & Geotechnical Investigation team will be mobilized as soon as flood situation in the project area improves
