Admission Procedure

Admission Criteria

  1. Candidates should apply for admission in 8th and class 11th as under:-
    • 8th Class Age between 12 and 14 years on 1st April on the year of entry and have passed 7th class or studying in 8th class.
    • Class 11th Age between 15 and 17 years on 15th August and have passed 10th class (science group) for admission to F.Sc. Part-1 class with minimum 60% marks.
  2. The subjects for Entrance Examinations are:
    • English, Urdu including questions from Islamiyat and Mathematics for admission to class 8th based on Federal Board Syllabi / books for 7th Class.
    • English & Chemistry and Mathematics & Physics / Biology & Physics two papers of 1½ hours duration each for admission to F.Sc. Part I based on Federal Board Syllabus.
  3. Admission to the College is decided on merit, on the basis of the following:-
    • The Entrance Examination.
    • An Interview by the Admission Committee.
    • The Medical Test.
    • Certificate of good character from the school last attended.

Shedule of Admission

Notice for the Entrance Examination are advertised in the national press every year during the period of August – November for admission to class 8th and April – June for admission to class 11th (Pre Engineering/Pre-Medical). The centres for Examination are WAPDA Cadet College, Tarbela / Lahore, Multan and D.I Khan or as advertised.

Prospectus & admission form

Prospectus along with admission form can be obtained from the admission Branch of College on payment of Rs.1500/- or Rs.1600/- by post including Entry Exam fee through bank draft in name of the Principal, WAPDA Cadet College Tarbela drawn on Habib Bank Limited (0575) Ghazi.

Fee structure

Complete Fee structure is available in College Prospectus. Minimal @ 12% - 15% per annum liable to be increased in line with inflationary trend.
Fee & fund once paid is not refundable and the manner of their spending is not accounted for the parents. If a Cadet leaves the College during the session at his own or at the request of the parents, Security fee will is not refunded.

  1. Late payment of Fees
    • If dues are not paid within due date, a fine at the rate of Rs.20/- per day for first 10 days and Rs.100/- per day for the next 10 days will be levied. Defaulters thereafter are liable to be withdrawn from the College.
    • Re-admission if approved on account of nonpayment of College dues will be made on payment of readmission fee Rs.5,000/- in addition to the fine.
  2. Other Expenses

Cadets are charged for the following extra items provided according to the purchase.

    • Uniform and Footwear
    • Books and Stationery.
    • Board Registration and Examination Fee, Photographs, College magazine.

General administration of the College is regulated by the College Rules & Regulations approved by the competent authority.
