WAPDA UP-GRADES VARIOUS POSTS OF OFFICIALS; 2960 OFFICIALS TO BENEFIT FROM UP-GRADATION

Lahore - March 19, 2017: On the analogy of the Federal Government’s decision and to motivate its employees, the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) up-graded the various posts of its officials across the country from the existing Basic Pay Scales (BPS) to the higher scales.

The decision to this effect was made by WAPDA Authority, headed by WAPDA Chairman Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (R).

As many as 2960 WAPDA officials will benefit from this up-gradation. According to the details, 910 Junior Clerks, 321 Senior Clerks, 949 Assistants, 736 Assistant Line Men, Assistant Sub Station Attendants and Assistant Station Attendants, 27 Sub Station Attendants and Line Men-II, and 17 Line Men stand up-graded with this decision, who are about 17.16 percent of the total working strength of WAPDA. It is pertinent to mention that as many as 17252 officials and officers are working in WAPDA at present.
