RIVERS FLOWS AND RESERVOIRS LEVEL REPORT

Lahore: January 22, 2018. The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:

 

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 16700 cusecs and Outflows 22000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 5700 cusecs and Outflows 5700 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 4900 cusecs and Outflows 100 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 5500 cusecs and Outflows 5500 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 24700 cusecs and Outflows 24700 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 33800 cusecs and Outflows 30000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 29700 cusecs and Outflows 29700 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 6800 cusecs and Outflows 6800 cusecs Guddu: Inflows 16500 cusecs and Outflows 11100 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 9700 cusecs and Outflows 4800, Kotri: Inflows 3600 cusecs and Outflows Nil.

Reservoirs (Level and Storage):

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1448.33 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 1.370 million acre feet (MAF).

Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1109.75 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.776 MAF.

Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 640.10 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.040 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
