Lower Kohistan Jirga calls on Chairman WAPDA

Besides development schemes agreed with United Kohistan Jirga in December 2022, WAPDA will also construct a 10 Km-long road from KKH to Duber Weir and a water supply scheme comprising main pipeline from Duber Weir to Duber Bridge at KKH along with a water storage facility for the locals.

This was announced by Chairman WAPDA Engr Lt Gen Sajjad Ghani (Retd) during a meeting with a 6-member Lower Kohistan Jirga consisting of ex-MNA Malik Aurangzeb, ex-MPA Mufti Ubaid-ur-Rahman and others. Member (Power) WAPDA Engr Jamil Akhtar, GM/PD Dasu Project Anwar-ul-Haq and DC Lower Kohistan Naik Muhammad also attended the meeting. Underlining significance of mutual trust and sincerity among all the stakeholders, Chairman WAPDA assured the Jirga that WAPDA’s resources would be available to the possible extent for socio-economic uplift of the locals in the projects’ areas.
