December 21, 2023: Chairman WAPDA Engr Lt Gen Sajjad Ghani (Retd) interacted with the employees at WAPDA House, Lahore today. Sharing the details about measures taken by the Authority for welfare of the employees, the Chairman informed them of the policy for allotment of accommodation at WAPDA colonies across the country, improvement in WAPDA accommodation and community transport service, merit-based regularization policy, increase in marriage grant, betterment in health care system and updates about Housing Scheme for WAPDA employees.

Dilating upon the progress on under-construction WAPDA projects, the Chairman said that river diversion on Dasu Hydropower Project was achieved early this year, River Indus at Diamer Basha Dam Project has recently been diverted successfully with the test run, while the mile stone of river diversion at Mohmand Dam Project is likely to be achieved during next three to four months. He said that WAPDA, as an organisation, must be the foremost priority for all of us.
