October 01, 2018: Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has felicitated Abbas Zaib - a WAPDA player - on winning Under-19 title for Pakistan in the 25th Asian Junior Championship recently concluded in Chennai, India.

Pakistani players, led by Abbas Zaib, managed to win three titles in Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19 categories with their tremendous performance in the Championship.
While congratulating its player Abbas Zaib on brilliant display of his skills throughout the Championship, in the finals in particular, WAPDA Chairman and Patron-in-Chief of WAPDA Sports Board Lt. Gen Muzammil Hussain (Retd) and other office bearers, said that WAPDA always takes pride in promotion of sports in Pakistan and bringing medals for the country in international sport events.
WAPDA Sports Board has a pool of more than 2100 players and officials, who have been bringing glory to their country while representing Pakistan in international competitions besides establishing their supremacy in most of the games on national level. In the year 2017 and 2018, WAPDA players won 12 gold, 13 silver and 45 bronze medals for Pakistan in various competitions and championships.
