In 2017,

• Wapda Degree College Tarbela was up-graded as WAPDA Postgraduate College Tarbela.
• Wapda Boys High School Barotha was up-graded as Wapda Higher Secondary School / Intermediate College GBHP Barotha.
• Wapda High School Mangla was up-graded as Wapda Higher Secondary School / Intermediate College Mangla.
