February 9, 2021: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan His Excellency Nong Rong today called on the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Chairman Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (Retd). The matters relating to the Chinese cooperation for WAPDA in construction of water and hydropower projects were discussed during the meeting.

February 8, 2021: The 3rd Chairman WAPDA Amateur Golf Tournament will start from February 12 to 14, 2021 at Lahore Gymkhana Golf Club at the national level under the aegis of Pakistan WAPDA Sports Board (WSB). February 04, 2021: Gilgit Baltistan (GB) Chief Minister Muhammad Khalid Khursheed today called on the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Chairman Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (Retd). The matters relating to hydro development in the region, particularly Diamer Basha Dam Project and the Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) undertaken by WAPDA in the Project area for socio-economic development of the locals were discussed in detail during the meeting.

Photo Tarbela 4 December 30, 2020: The 2020 proved to be an exceptional year for water and hydropower sectors in the country, as the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) succeeded in achieving the historic milestones in the two sectors during this year. Besides generating highest-ever low-cost hydel electricity, WAPDA also initiated construction work on the long-delayed mega multi-purpose Diamer Basha Dam Project in 2020.

December 28, 2020:  Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Chief Minister Muhammad Khalid Khursheed today called on the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Chairman Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (R). A briefing was made to him regarding water and hydropower projects being implemented by WAPDA in Gilgit-Baltistan during the meeting. These projects include Diamer Basha Dam, Harpo, Tangir, Thak, Shayok Dam, Basho, Attabad Lake, Skardu Dam, Tungus and Yulbo hydropower projects.
