February 12, 2021: 3rd Chairman WAPDA Amateur Golf Tournament formally commenced today at Lahore Gymkhana Golf Club, with a tee shot by WAPDA Chairman Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (Retd) to commence the golfing activities of the day. WAPDA MD (Admin), WAPDA Sports Boards officials and a number of golfers were present in the ceremony.

Laroosh Khan of WAPDA beat his own team mate Irfan Saeed by 3-1 in the final to clinch Men’s title while Mahoor Shahzad of WAPDA overpowered her team mate Ghazala Siddique in the final by 2-0 to grab Women’s title in National Badminton Championship 2021.

IPC Minister felicitates PBF Chairman Gen (R) Muzammil

February 4, 2021: Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) newly elected Chairman Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (Retd) today called on Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Federal Minister Dr. Fehmida Mirza to discuss with her the matters relating to promotion of boxing in the country.

IPC Federal Minister congratulated Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (Retd) on becoming PBF Chairman. She expressed the hope that the Federation under his leadership will succeed in bringing laurels to Pakistan in international boxing events.

Later, PBF Chairman apprised the Federal Minister of the plans to hunt and groom the local talent for elevating standards of boxing in Pakistan. The strategy to exalt Pakistan’s standing in the world boxing arena was also discussed in details.

IPC Minister assured full support to PBF Chairman in his endeavours to uplift boxing in the country.

It is pertinent to mention that Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (Retd) was elected PBF Chairman unopposed last month.
