WAPDA clinched National Women Karate title 10th time consecutively

Lahore – November 10, 2016:   The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) won the 10th National Women Karate Championship 10th time in a row by bagging 5 x Gold, 1 x Silver and 2 x Bronze medals with 155 points. Championship was held from 7th to 9th November 2016 at Lahore.

Balochistan Women Karate Team got second position with 75 points and Pakistan Army secured third position with 70 points.

Lahore – November 09, 2016: Pakistan secured second position in the Commonwealth Senior Wrestling Championship, held from November 3 to 7 at Singapore, as WAPDA wrestlers, representing Pakistan, excelled in the Championship. As many as 18 countries participated in the event.

WAPDA Tennis Player Qualifies for Asian Tennis Federation Master Series

Lahore-November 07, 2016: Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Tennis Player, Huzaifa Abdul Rehman has qualified to represent Asia in forthcoming Asian Tennis Federation Master Series, scheduled to be held from November 24 to 26, 2016 at Astana, Kazakhstan. He has been selected among 8 top players of Asia in the category of 14 and under age.

Huzaifa earned number 3 position in the top 8 players selected from Asia and is the only player selected from Pakistan to participate in the Series.

It is pertinent to mention that WAPDA has been the National Champion in Tennis (Men, Women) for the last 10 years.
