September 7, 2022: The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) won All Pakistan Nishan-e-Haider Hockey Tournament defeating National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) in the final by 9-0 goals. The tournament was played at Bahawalpur from August 29 to September 6, 2022 under the aegis of Pakistan Hockey Federation.

WAPDA athlete Arshad Nadeem once again made the nation proud, as he won gold medal in javelin throw for Pakistan in Islamic Solidarity Games. He hit 88.55 meter mark, which is a new record of Islamic Solidarity Games. WAPDA Chairman/Patron-in-Chief WAPDA Sports Board Lt Gen Sajjad Ghani (Retd) and WAPDA Sports Board have congratulated him on his yet another brilliant performance.
