Introduction

Chashma Hydel Power Station is installed on river indus close to the right embankment of Chashma barrage. it is a low head Hydel Power Station having a installed Capacity of 184 mw. it is run-of-river plant & bulb type turbines are installed with rated head of 8.4 meters. operation/ loading is dictated by releases downstream Chashma reservoir being controlled by the indus river system authority (Irsa).
