Alhmdulillah! Hub Dam today filled to maximum level of 339.15 feet with water storage of 6,87,000 acre feet

July 17,2022: Alhmdulillah! Hub Dam today filled to maximum level of 339.15 feet with water storage of 6,87,000 acre feet; sufficient to release water for Karachi and Balochistan for next three years. Safe passage of additional water through spillways is in operation; Water Resources Ministry, WAPDA and Project Management have been closely monitoring the Dam’s operation vis inflows and outflows.

WAPDA today signed two more contracts of K-IV Project

WAPDA today signed two more contracts of K-IV Project for construction of water filtration plants and reservoirs (FP1 and FP3) worth Rs. 13 billion after international competitive bidding. Construction on the Project will commence during 1st week of next month and is scheduled to be completed in October 2023 to supply 260 million gallon water per day to Karachi.

Nai Gaj Dam, being constructed in Dadu District of Sindh Province

Nai Gaj Dam, being constructed in Dadu District of Sindh Province is scheduled to be completed by end 2024. WAPDA Member (Water) Jawaid Latif was briefed during his visit by GM Projects (South) Amir Mughal said that the Project, with 3 lac acre feet of gross water storage, will irrigate 28,800acres of land on its completion.
