WAPDA Chairman addresses workers at Labour Hall 'Annual hydel electricity to raise to 57 billion units by 2026'

May 12, 2022: WAPDA Chairman Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (Retd) has said that installed hydel generation capacity of WAPDA will surge to 13949 MW by 2026 with an addition of 4543 MW following completion of its under construction projects.

Taking strong exception to various news being circulated on social media about the Chairman WAPDA, Ministry of Water Resources and the Federal Minister for Water Resources, WAPDA spokesperson has termed these news as fabricated and devoid of facts, adding that such smearing campaign is highly condemnable.

Please be informed that subsequent to the resignation of Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (R) from the post of Chairman WAPDA, fake news are being attributed to him for the last few days through fake twitter accounts being run in his name. These accounts are disowned being fake.

April 02, 2022: In pursuit of WAPDA's Corporate Social Responsibility, WAPDA House was lit up in blue on the occasion of World Autism Day as a gesture of solidarity with persons having Autism and their families keeping in view the Autism Day tradition to light up public buildings in blue the world over.  The World Autism Day is celebrated on April 2 every year across the globe in accordance with the UN observance.
