October 5, 2018: The hydel resource development in Pakistan takes a giant leap forward, as the third and the last unit of Tarbela 4th Extension Hydropower Project was also synchronized with the National Grid today. The third unit was operated on various loads up to 466 MW.

October 05, 2018: The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Chairman Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (Retd) today visited Gomal Zam Dam located in South Waziristan tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The Chairman had a detailed round of various components of the dam and the power house during the visit.

Lahore – September 17, 2018: The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) today signed a contract worth Rs.1.68 billion with China CMAC Engineering Company for Package-9 of Mangla Refurbishment Project. This Package includes up-gradation of Mangla switchyard.
