TARBELA 5TH HYDROPOWER PROJECT: A FUTURE VISTA

Tarbela 5th HPP is envisaged to be constructed on 5th tunnel of Tarbela Dam. Its environmental and social scoping document is being prepared by the consultants engaged for this purpose. WEC is involved in the process by recommending certain modification in the scoping document. The most important are about the power evacuation facilities route and its environmental and social footprints. This initiative of WEC will carve a niche for preparation of suitable ESIA for this project.
