WAPDA sings contract for upgradation of 6 generating units of Mangla

Lahore – August 29, 2016: The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) today signed a contract worth Rs.10.81 billion with Alstom Hydro France for refurbishment and upgradation of 6 power generating units installed at Mangla Hydel Power Station. The contract comprising package-1 and 7 is a part of Mangla Refurbishment Project.

WAPDA wins 20th Mens' National Classic Powerlifting and Bench Press Championship WAPDA's Nooh Dastagir sets two new national records

 

March 04, 2024: Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) yet again proved its supremacy in 20th Mens' National Classic Powerlifting and Bench Press Championship as it succeeded in winning 10 Gold and 3 Silver medals with 105 points followed by Sindh with 48 points and Police with 40 points. WAPDA's Nooh Dastagir set two new national records in 120+ KG category by lifting 330 KG weight and 208 KG bench press category by bench pressing of 209 KG.

WAPDA crowned National Men's Basketball Championship

November 24, 2023: Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) won National Men's Basketball Championship by beating Pakistan Army in the finals by 73 points. The final of the 5-day Championship was played at Government College University Lahore.
